Our FLOW + GROW series are held once per week for 75 minutes; these open level classes are suited to beginner and intermediate students who are completely new to, returning or perhaps rediscovering yoga and looking to set aside dedicated time each week to commit to their health + wellness.
During each series students will be guided through the same set sequence of postures each week, structured towards learning the elements of hatha yoga, incorporating 'vinyasa': the fluid union of breath and movement, as well as basic alignment, how to use props and some basic yogic philosophy.
With expert guidance by experienced yoga teachers, our FLOW series is a slower paced class where each week builds on the next; we believe this model of learning and practicing yoga is engaging and empowering for all individuals regardless of age, shape or size.
We run these classes as term classes so that students experience the benefit of a regular ongoing yoga practice, these series are designed to be continued throughout the year.
One make up class is permitted at one of our scheduled drop-in classes during the same term of classes by pre-arrangement.
Using physical and verbal alignment queues, students will learn:
Pranayama (breath work)
Surya Namaskara (known as Sun Salutations)
Foundation Standing Postures
Bandhas - Establish Core Awareness
Seated Postures & Twists
Backbends & Inversions
Yin + Restorative Yoga
Each of these elements are sequenced together to culminate in a flowing vinyasa: a moving meditation.
