Chair yoga is a safe and accessible practice for anyone, of any age, and particularly for those who are living with physical limitations. This seated modified form of traditional hatha yoga allows you to work with what you have now to build strength, stamina and improve mobility without having to worry about getting up and down from the ground.
Chair yoga is often misunderstood to be an age-specific practice, however, all of us at some point have to navigate a physical limitation due to injury or illness. Chair yoga is an excellent choice of practice to aid in the healing process and to navigate the challenges that come with injury, surgery, chronic pain, debilitating illnesses, or any condition that causes limited mobility or restricted activity.
Chair yoga complements traditional physical therapy, is a true friend in chemotherapy recovery as it gently soothes and rejuvenates the body that struggles with fatigue, and relieves pain for many who suffer from arthritis, fibromyalgia, and other chronic pain conditions.
Taught by an experienced Yoga Teacher in a small yoga studio, this class incorporates breathing exercises, relaxation and traditional yoga asana. Open to ALL. Bookings Essential.
