A slow, mindful class using props to support the physical body in postures, allowing time to 'drop-in' to your self and unite the breath, the body and the mind.
Less physically challenging than a dynamic 'yang' style vinyasa flow; supported postures are held for longer periods encouraging space and opening, inviting a calming 'yin' energy.
An ideal practice to de-stress and encourage flexibility or just tune into yourself.
With minimal weight bearing, postures suit those with reduced mobility or absolute beginners wanting to ease their way into yoga, or for those yogis returning to practice following a physical injury or absence from practice.
Yin yoga is a restorative type of yoga with many therapeutic uses; assisting insomnia, infertility, and digestion as well as reducing stress.
This style is a complete mind body experience when practiced on it's own, and may also complement a stronger yoga practice or combined as part of a cross-training program for cyclists, runners and althletes.
Absolute Beginners Welcome. All equipment provided.
